Last year, I started doing more personal lettering as well as Instagram challenges/POD sites to motivate myself in exploring different techniques and styles to help improve and grow my skills as a Graphic Designer. One of my goals (besides starting my very own studio) was to start designing my own greeting cards to sell! This year's Christmas Greeting Card Set (3rd set so far), I decided to participate in the Zazzle Holiday Contest (I think I went a little overboard coming up with 12 designs, but I tend to do the sets in 12). I didn't win anything, but I did gain experience in turning my monoline stroke art style into illustrative artwork. While I was illustrating and lettering these cards, my creations came together right before my eyes! I used a mixture of my custom monoline lettering style plus one font that I am in love with to get the look I was wanting that worked well with the artwork.
